We have been talking a lot about how impressive our Villa 8 is. Its localization is one of the most unique properties with a breathless view, as it is in the Duas Barras region between the mountains of Rio de Janeiro. When we look back to remember its history, it becomes even more special as this old farmhouse was built in 1850.
Few years ago, the musician Lenny Kravitz fell in love with the property. At the end of one Brazilian tour, Lenny was invited to meet the place to spend one day only – he ended up staying for six months, not to mention that he decided to buy and restore it completely.
Outside, historical ruins that recall the past. Inside, Lenny, design lover, proposed a contemporary and personality-filled counterpoint. Imagine a mix of arts and furniture by national designers like Sergio Rodrigues and Oscar Niemeyer, with rare objects like the chair that belonged to Andy Warhol or the piano by Ingmar Bergman.
With eight suites – the master with an authentic copper bathtub makes it outstanding
– and three bedrooms with a shared bathroom, Villa 8 brings together everything you need to turn off the daily routine and turn yourself on connected to nature in total peace and silence. It has a swimming pool surrounded by the forest view, soccer field, gym, horses, sauna and jacuzzi, all under the most absolute silence. Besides all these facilities, there is also a vegetable organic garden where you can pick fresh fruits and vegetables.
In the words of Lenny Kravitz himself from an interview to Architectural Digest magazine: “a place to unplug, reset your life, and take the time to be quiet and actually hear yourself.
